Job Description:

Location: Elk Grove Village, Illinois

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring a Clamp Forklift Operator in Elk Grove Village, IL!

Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move finished printed products within the warehouse for storage or shipping, ensuring proper handling and inventory accuracy, while adhering to all safety regulations and performing routine maintenance checks on the forklift; duties may include supplying manufacturing departments with materials as needed, staging products for shipment, and maintaining inventory of supplies by location and quantity.

Responsibilities:

• Complete company-provided training for powered industrial trucks
• Drive forklift equipped with lifting devices such as fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch
• Push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move raw paper materials, in-process products, finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard, or factory
• Move materials and equipment using an overhead rail crane or operate a rail car mover such as a track mobile.
• Load and unload semi-trailer trucks
• Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies
• Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Perform safety checks on lifts.
• Perform safety check and light maintenance as required – lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace the liquefied-gas tank
• Responsible for inventory control, tracking and reporting inventory utilizing a materials management system.
• Organize and assign storage space utilized in warehousing and moving materials in the departments

Desired Background/Skills:

• Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a forklift with clamp attachments in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures for power industrial trucks
• Knowledge of weight capacities, balancing product, and height thresholds
• Experience relocating, picking material in narrow aisles, moving material up / down ramps, and unloading product from transportation vehicles
