Responsible for training and/or re-training delivery drivers on all aspects of the delivery driver job duties. Utilizes all company training guides, manuals, checklists and processes to ensure compliance with company policies, practices, safety and DOT regulations. Performs preferred work method observations and provides verbal and written feedback on driver trainees' performance including suggested development actions. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. 

Primary Responsibilities:
 Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills. Utilizes all systems and tools effectively, i.e. computer, software systems.  Exceptionally strong knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (i.e., hours of service, pre-trip/post-trip, etc) and company safety policies and practices. Ensures all policies are followed.  Delivers hands-on training that allows for maximum transfer of knowledge while ensuring customer needs, service times, labor and transportation costs are met and within guidelines.  Provides ongoing and timely feedback to assigned driver trainees and supervisory staff. Feedback includes positive reinforcement and constructive corrective actions.  Understands and exhibits strong customer service skills.  Works with new driver hires and experienced drivers in classroom and/or field settings to prepare them for a successful professional driver career.  May supplement PFG Driver Training Manual with local programs specific to the location, products and reports used in that market. •  Performs all route delivery duties per company guidelines and safety regulations including pre/post trip, inspection of load and freight, adherence to delivery windows, ensures accuracy of customer delivery, utilizes equipment as prescribed, collects cash/check if required, completes returns and driver-check in process and performs necessary housekeeping to ensure cleanliness of tractor and trailer.  Performs other related duties as assigned.
