CDL A Driver - $25/HR – Home Every Night!

 

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive and deliver structural steel to customers within a 3-hour radius using a semi-truck and flatbed trailer. This position ensures that drivers are home each night with no overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive a semi-truck with a flatbed trailer to deliver structural steel.Prepare and secure delivery loads.Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure all safety procedures are followed.Follow planned routes to destinations.Interact with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service.Ensure all loads are properly tied down, especially large, heavy, and sharp metal items.

Top Skills:

Active Class A CDL license.Experience using a flatbed trailer preferred.Ability to track and log deliveries.Ability to perform safety checks on all mechanical issues of the semi.Strong customer service skills.

Secondary Skills (Nice to Haves):

Experience with unloading and loading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1+ year of semi driving experience.Regular attendance.Proficient in vehicle operation.Experience with flatbed trailers (2+ years is a significant plus).Strong customer service skills.
