Class A CDL Driver (Union)
Position OverviewC&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Position Overview
Are you over 21 years old, DOT certified with valid CDL-A? Do you have at least one year of experience on the road?

Our Drivers hit the roads each day with a loaded truck. But it’s more than just driving and delivering — details matter — from safety to, logging, and inspecting. It’s efficient, on-the-road, on-time, customer-serving, loading-and-unloading work. That’s how we get thousands of products delivered to our valued
customers.
As a Driver, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of products and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.


Responsibilities
 Drive a tractor-trailer (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, transporting and delivering products
 Make an average of 1-4 stops per day; pallets can consist of all types of products
 Home at night, regional deliveries
 Electronic logging according to I.C.C. regulations
 Inspect the truck before and after trips and submit a report indicating truck's condition
 Positively representing the company with our customers
 Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures
 Other duties as assigned
 Hours may vary based on business needs which include evenings and weekends
 Monday through Saturday work schedule, off Sundays

Qualifications
 Minimum age 21 years old
 Class A CDL driver’s license
 One year of recent tractor-trailer experience
 Must be DOT-certified
 Class A Commercial Driver’s License
 Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam
 Quality and customer-service focused; enjoy working with people
 Legally authorized to work in the United States
 Compliance with all company policies and procedures
 Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check


New Hire Incentive
Starting rate $ 29 (Union)

Health Insurance after 90 days, 401(K) with company match,

Paid Vacation: 1 week after 1 year.
