Class A Driver

Summary:

Chicago Tribune, a subsidiary of Tribune publishing, is seeking a Class A Driver to join our team for distribution!

This requires a valid driver's license, experience and frequency driving stick shift and the ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends and holidays; we are a 24-7 operation.

What you will do:

Responsible for efficient and accurate delivery of the newspaper and supplements in the market

Drive a tractor trailer truck (Requiring a class "A" CDL)

Makes delivery of freight and magazines when needed

Break down and sort freight, film and magazines for shipping to customer distribution centers

Responsible for efficient and accurate delivery of the newspaper and supplements in the market

Break down and sort magazines, film and supplies as needed to ship to various statewide customer distribution centers

Check newspaper, supplements and magazine bundles for accurate count on truck loads

Respond to customer inquiries

Practices defensive driving skills and maintains a safe-driving record

What you will bring:

Ability to work with a variety of people

A valid commercial class "A" drivers license to drive a tractor trailer

Demonstrated sensitivity to customer satisfaction

Possess basic math aptitude, communication and organization skills

Ability to operate a pallet jack

High school diploma or equivalent
