Job Summary
Zachry Underground and Utility Services is seeking a Class B CDL dump truck driver to transport various materials to and from construction sites throughout the San Antonio area. Starting hourly pay for this position is $21.00/hr.
The dump truck driver’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing pre-trip inspections Supervising the loading of materials onto the truck Proper tarping of load Safe operation of the truck in all weather conditions Dumping load in the designated area Inspecting the truck for any mechanical issues before and after every tripEssential Functions
Transporting rock, sand, and other construction materials to and from specified locations. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions. Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management. Must abide by all DOT laws and regulations to protect equipment, materials, and the public. Availability Monday thru Friday 6:30 am to 5:30 pm (up to 55 hours per week). Perform other labor-related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Required Skills & Experience
2+ years experience operating a dump truck. Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations. Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License. Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate. Clean driving record. Take direction from supervision on daily routes. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform stooping, bending, kneeling, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and climbing. Physical ability to climb in and out of the cab of the truck and equipment. Prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
