Lesser responsibilities include design analysis for new and existing customers, advanced system & platform configuration, and 2nd tier production support for the really tough problems. Senior Software developers should have 8+ years of experience with all of the following:
Extensive experience in Microsoft’s Classic ASP with a strong grasp of functional programming concepts. Candidates should be well versed in related COM libraries such as ActiveX Data Objects (ADO). Experience and knowledge with .Net/C# and COM Interop is helpful, but not required. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and a solid understanding relational database principals, such as indexes and normalization. Should be capable of understanding database query tuning and optimization techniques with respect to improving overall application performance. Broad knowledge in Web related technologies, such as HTML, CSS and in particular solid understanding of ECMA script. Should be familiar with DOM manipulate and AJAX without the aid of 3rd party libraries as well as have an understanding of key security concepts such as Cross Site Scripting and SQL Injection.
