The Classification & Compensation Analyst provides professional level human resource advisory services for the Human Resources Classification & Compensation Team. The position is responsible for fulfilling a range of classification and compensation-related duties for Direct Care & Treatment (DCT). Working collaboratively as part of the Classification & Compensation Team within DCT Human Resources, this position will conduct job and compensation analyses, assist with classification studies and projects, perform classification research and information gathering, make job audit decisions or recommendations (based on sub-delegation), and advise hiring managers and staff on topics related to classification and compensation. **Minimum Qualifications** **To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and/or preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.** **Human Resources Specialist 2** Two (2) years* Human Resources experience with general knowledge of job analysis, compensation analysis, and/or classification. *Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience. **Human Resources Specialist 3** Three (3) years* of Human Resources experience performing job analysis and classification work. *Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience conducting public sector job analysis/classification. + Communication skills sufficient to explain sensitive, controversial decisions to employees and management in a clear and concise manner. + Writing skills sufficient to compose formal reports, research papers, or memorandums. + Relationship building skills sufficient to build strong, collaborative working partnerships with agency management and be regarded as a trusted advisor and consultant. + Experience interpreting current employment laws, regulations, and policies related to classification, recruitment, selection, hiring, promotion, and/or retention of employees. + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures. **Additional Requirements** To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
