As the Master Physical Modeler at Ford Global Design, you will work with team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure physical models are delivered. maintaining the Design Studio's dynamic direction. This role involves take part internal clay model development and supplier led hard model development from initial concept feasibility to final theme approval.
Your master skills will be instrumental in delivering theme feasibility and production appearance, ultimately turning design vision into reality with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the art of the possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Work experience in automotive physical modeling.
•Computer skills and software knowledge of Outlook. World and for Excel Master Clay Modelling skills.
•Strong knowledge of Milling, Fabrication, and Surface Scanning Process.

• Aptitude and competency in understanding surface development and procedures in all physical modeling techniques.
•Ability to work in a dynamic environment, embracing the creative process with a willingness to adjust design direction as needed.
•Ability to problem-solving.

•Ability to direct, instruct, and support a small team of creative day modeling Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with •Creative Design Leads Project management skills
•Organizational skills to manage and run development and execution of properties
•Technical knowledge of part/assembly development. (Manufacturing processes, fitment, assembly, painting requirement. soft trim etc.)
 

SAFETY- RESPONSIBLE
• Overserve and comply with Studio and Building safety rules, regulations, and processes.
• Clean and maintain the workspace.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop physical models and determine the best tools and techniques to deliver the most accurate execution within timing and project constraints.
• Be an integral member of Studio Design teams
• Deliver a finished physical model to specification using all available tools from sketches to engineering data.
• Setup armatures, processes, and procedures to deliver advanced prototypes with speed and accuracy.
• Operate all equipment safely maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Lead program modeling team in all aspects of modeling and clay processes.
• Organize teams to ensure appropriate headcount is allocated to support project requirements.
• Keep stocks of materials at the correct levels to support program requirements.
• Interpret Creative Design information and instructions (verbal and visual), develop scale and full-size clay models from concept to 'A' surfacing.
• Construct concept prototype parts in various materials, including wood, plastic, and metal.
• Instruct and assist studio modelling staff both permanently and contractually.
• Liaise with Designers and studio Engineers to gather information to support model development.
