Kimley-Horn is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join our Oakland office. We are looking for candidates with 4-8 years of experience in research, analysis, strategy, and planning within the energy and zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) sectors. You will be involved in a variety of impactful projects including the development of local and regional plans for EV charging infrastructure, hydrogen refueling stations, energy efficiency and conservation strategies, and infrastructure siting. This is an in-office/in-person role, offering you the opportunity to collaborate closely with our talented team.

Responsibilities

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their experience with research, analysis, and preparing reports and presentations on clean energy and/or clean transportation for clients. At minimum, applicants should have experience with:

Project management and task management Leading all aspects of project planning, scoping, and budgeting with support from senior staffDeveloping budgets and managing/tracking budgets during project deliveryCommunicating, working, and building trust with clients Distilling key points from large volumes of information (via literature review, etc.)Analyzing data and writing reportsWorking independently and effectively managing time/prioritizing tasksThinking critically and creatively to identify and address potential challenges before they occurUsing GIS tools to analyze data and generate mapsSupporting grant application developmentCollaborating with colleagues across a range of disciplinesInteracting with the public as part of project outreach activitiesManaging junior members of the team Qualifications Deep commitment to delivering outstanding client serviceAt least 4 years of experience in energy or Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV)Extensive knowledge of planning principles for clean energy and transportationProficiency in creating ESRI maps using publicly available datasets (e.g., Census) and conducting analysisProven experience in project managementExceptional organizational abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEnergetic, self-driven, and team-orientedAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work with various project managers

Salary Range:

$110,000 to $145,000
