POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for maintaining all areas of the pavilion, restrooms, casinos, and offices at the highest standard of cleanliness, and in accordance with all established policies and procedures set forth by the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.
1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
a. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.
b. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.
c. Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to provide superior guest service.
d. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
2. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and team members, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
3. General cleaning and polishing of all slot machines, gaming tables, windows, walls, stairs, tables, escalators, elevators, or any surface which may need to be cleaned.
4. Cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, and general care of all floors and carpet.
5. Cleaning, disinfecting and stocking of all restrooms.
6. Removal of trash and debris from all pavilion and casino areas including but not limited to gaming devices, tables, chairs, ashtrays, floors, and any other surfaces which may need to be cleaned.
7. Empty, wash, and reline trash receptacles as needed, and transport trash to dumpsters as needed.
8. Cleaning and disinfecting of any spills, human waste, or garbage as needed to maintain all public areas in clean and sanitary condition.
9. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
10. Other duties as assigned
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (performed infrequently)
Stocking and distribution of supplies to storage areas as needed to maintain the property.
Communicate any supply shortages to management so that replacement supplies can be ordered.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The position is responsible to the Housekeeping Supervisor for successful performance of assigned duties
EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following:
Vacuum (canister, upright, or backpack)
Ladder
Shop Vac
Various hand tools necessary to cleaning and simple maintenance
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical demands associated with the position including, but not limited to, the following:
Standing/ Walking – 60%
Sitting – 05%
Lifting – 10% (over 30 lbs.)
Bending – 25% (from waist)
ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of employees and guests at all times.
Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.
Knowledge of personal protective equipment.
Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Zero to one years’ experience in cleaning public buildings and or facilities
Ability to obtain any and all licenses, certifications, insurance coverage or any other indemnifications which may be required by the company for the successful completion of the duties associated with this position.
