**Job Title: General Labor** **Job Description** These candidates will be supporting the Environmental team, which is responsible for ensuring that the facility, grounds, and everything on the property are cleaned, maintained, and kept up to date within environmental regulations. Their primary duties will include cleaning and sweeping, moving materials and scrap metal, eliminating debris and waste, and general facility upkeep. **Responsibilities** + Cleaning and sweeping + Moving materials and scrap metal + Eliminating debris and waste + General facility upkeep + Production tasks in the scrap metal yard + Picking and sorting materials + Loading and unloading shipments + General cleaning and maintenance + Disposing of trash/debris by sweeping and shoveling + Using pressure washers on equipment + Performing any other tasks as requested **Essential Skills** + 1+ year of experience working in an outdoor environment (construction, landscaping, general labor) + General labor skills + Experience in construction or landscaping + Cleaning and janitorial skills + Proficiency in general construction tasks **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + English proficiency required -Bilingual Spanish preferred **Why Work Here?** The location offers a lot of consistent overtime. The site in Oakland has an inside production area and a large outdoor yard. There is a lot of heavy machinery, moving parts, loud noises, and it is very dusty. The positions will be in the Joint Products department, which is slightly indoors under a structure. The dress code includes steel toe shoes, pants, a plain t-shirt or sweater, and a vest (provided by the client). Shift: 5am -2pm. Overtime on Saturdays is required, with current scheduling for 2 Saturdays a month. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
