**Job Title: Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for reading work orders, following production drawings, and performing various tasks to assemble and secure parts. Your role will include intermediate assembly tasks, testing, and inspection to ensure all parts meet production specifications and standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read work orders, follow production drawings, and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
+ Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
+ Install multi-level subassemblies and modules into Racks using complex configurations.
+ Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
+ Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
+ Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
+ Perform online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
+ Set up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.
+ Handle/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated locations on the product.
+ Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.
+ Assist in performing repair work.
+ Communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and/or engineers.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience working in a secure area and cleanroom environment.
+ Capable of using torque screwdrivers and small hand tools.
+ Electromechanical assembly experience preferred.
+ Comfortable assembling small parts.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Good computer skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to assist, instruct, and qualify new operators.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a cleanroom environment and be involved in small parts assembly. The position requires flexibility to work both day shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and swing shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) in an electronic manufacturing environment. ESD straps will be used as part of the job.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milpitas, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $26.40/hr.
