Come join the DMVA team, apply today! DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position works closely with Nursing Management to organize and provide high quality services to our Veteran population. The ideal candidate must be personable in nature to enable them to interact with managers, employees and clients in a positive way. The candidate must have experience using software programs to manage digital filing systems or calendars and possess excellent written and verbal communication to type clear and concise documents like memos, emails and invoices. This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining daily appointment schedule for Clinical Service Manager, create reports as directed for nursing department, maintain nursing files, and communicate with other departments on nursing business. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. + Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or + Graduation from high school;or + An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: + 2 years or more of experience working with software applications within the Microsoft package and/or other software packages to create spreadsheets, calendars, documents and rosters. + Ability to work with various office equipment scanner/printer/fax, computer/tablet, telephone/personal communication devices etc. + You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required) + Completion of a high school business curriculum. + Six (6) months or more experience as a Clerical Assistant 1 employed by the Commonwealth of PA. + Experience in typing and data entry. + Experience with filing and shredding. + Experience creating work orders. + Experience answering, screening, and forwarding telephone calls. + Experience working in a long-term care facility or large healthcare facility. + Experience updating and maintaining policy and procedure manuals. + Experience proofreading completed materials for accuracy. + Experience filing and retrieving documents for various departments. + Experience working at a long-term care or large healthcare facility.
