THE POSITION

The State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) is seeking a highly motivated clerical support professional to join our staff. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position serves as the agency receptionist and will greet and interact with staff, visitors and vendors daily. Other primary position functions include providing mail courier services both on site and within the Harrisburg area; processing incoming/outgoing mail; posting checks and other forms of payments in the agency’s SERIS system; print production of agency and member materials utilizing a production printer; processing invoices for payment; and other clerical support services required for the needs of the Operations Office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment.
+ Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
+ Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
+ Graduation from high school;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
+ This particular position requires possession of a valid driver's license.
