The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 to join our dynamic team at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Fayette. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for recording, preparing, and distributing information. You will type correspondence, reports, and forms, and manage the input, updating, and modification of data for new or existing parole cases using the intranet, DOC net, and the OnBase virtual filing system. As a receptionist or rotating receptionist, you will answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and direct them accordingly. Additionally, you will handle mail processing and respond to both written and verbal inquiries by generating and distributing reports or providing requested information. You will generally complete your work independently, with periodic reviews by your supervisor. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. + Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306.00(before taxes). + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or + Graduation from high school;or + An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: + Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. + You must be able to perform essential job functions.
