Clerical Assistant Job Locations UK-Lanarkshire-Strathaven ID 2024-14333 Overview

Element has the opportunity for a Clerical Assistant to join their team based at our Strathaven site, who will be responsible for supporting the team in all aspects of administration and facilities duties. This role would suit either a school leaver or experienced administrator and full training will be provided.

 

Element Strathaven Lab Solutions division sells chromatography supplies to customers across the UK and Ireland. 

 

Responsibilities Carry out specific administration responsibilities, including but not limited to ; phone, mail, emails, monthly reporting, cheques, scanning, filing, order book, shredding)Carry out specific facilities responsibilities (visitor inductions, meetings logistics, lunches, refreshments, fire alarm tests)Assist the Element Strathaven teams with general office administration required for the efficient functioning of the business (inc booking hotels/taxis/flights/care hires)Assist in employee engagement activities (with the support and guidance from management Co-ordinate employee engagement activities for example birthday gifts, local events, lunches, welcoming new starts or remote workers etc.)Support specific departments with customer training, exhibition needs, and samples (training manuals, exhibition and literature, full sample process)Send out invoices to customers daily / monthly as required

 

Skills / Qualifications

 

Enthusiastic with willingness to learn new skillsDemonstrates a problem solving, proactive attitudeGood written and verbal communication skillsExperience within an office environment preferred, however not essentialAble to process correspondence and other documentation in order to communicate and present information in a clear and concise mannerDisplays effective written & verbal communication skills & has the ability to accurately communicate information to customers and other members of staffCompetent in the appropriate software packages (e.g. Word and Excel)Able to produce lengthy and accurate documents following instruction
