Position Summary:
Responsible for providing clerical/receptionist support including but not limited to filing, scheduling, answering phones, photocopying, billing, maintaining inventory, record keeping, typing, report and document preparation, special projects, and data entry and collection. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* FILING - Place materials in appropriate files in accordance with departmental filing system; locate and sign out requested information
* BILLING - Review and ensure patient billing is accurate and in compliance with financial policies, procedures and contractual requirements
* PROJECTS - Perform special tasks and data entry jobs as required in specified time frames
* DATA - Research information, compile statistics, and gather and compute various data
* CLERICAL SUPPORT - Perform a variety of routine word processing and clerical duties as necessary
* MAIL - Sort and distribute incoming mail
* DATA - Assist in the tabulation of data and report preparation for designated projects
* TELEPHONE - Answer and direct phone calls as requested; take and relay messages
* REGISTRATION - Interview patients and/or families to obtain demographic, financial information and signatures as required; schedule new and follow-up appointments
* DATA ENTRY - Enter various data into computer; verify data, make corrections and ensure accuracy
* CUSTOMER SERVICE - Provide information and assistance to internal and external customers; provide and ensure quality service and customer satisfaction
