Client Accounting Business Partner

Job Overview:

 

The Client Accounting Business Partner is responsible for overseeing field knowledge, performance, and delivery of client accounting objectives throughout the South Florida Condo-HOA market. Perform functions to serve as a liaison and build relationships between client accounting, and property management teams and HOA board members that drive quality and overall performance of contracted accounting services.

 

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

Evaluate property workflows to optimize team performance of accounting deliverables. Identify possible issues, inconsistencies, and suggest/inspire action around appropriate corrective strategies and procedures. This will require collaboration and communication with internal and external partners. Enhance field operator knowledge of property accounting tasks and deliverables (financial statement reviews, invoice processing, budget preparation and budget tool, lockbox processes and set-ups, etc) in a manner that can be measured and tracked (Key Results Area “KRA”) to gauge results. Provide ad-hoc reporting and KRA monitoring to ensure client services deliverables are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Partner with Transition Team and property teams on the design and implementation of client accounting workflows for new business (start-up accounts, special assessments, etc.) ensuring smooth setup and delivery of services. Collaborate with startup support members, property teams, and clients to understand the community’s needs and property appropriate workflows necessary to establish operations. Coordinate with and assist the appropriate client accounting department with required deliverables. Assist leadership with related projects, presentations, reports, or assignments as requested.

 

 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or related field from an accredited college or university Property Management experience preferred Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience, Three or more years managing and developing a team Excellent organization, motivation, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making ability. Excellent customer service skills and strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently. Must be self-driven with the ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities. Must have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Proficiency researching the Internet. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.; Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing. The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. On-call 24/7. Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on project requirements. Driving when necessary. Ability to respond to emergencies on a timely manner.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Compensation: $85,000 – $95,000
