What We’re Looking For

Reporting to the Vice President of HUB Private Client, the Client Associate Account Manager is responsible for delivering professional, accurate, and efficient insurance solutions to new and existing commercially connected clients, with a strong focus on sales growth and client acquisition.

This role includes assessing personal insurance needs, identifying opportunities, and providing tailored recommendations to drive sales. The Account Manager educates clients on insurance solutions, promotes bundling options to maximize value, and actively encourages adoption of company offerings to achieve sales targets.

By leveraging strong client relationship skills, a results-driven approach, and a commitment to service excellence, the Account Manager enhances the company’s reputation, ensures exceptional client experiences, and contributes to business growth.

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Requirements

Level 2 General Insurance LicenseMinimum 5 years of Personal Insurance experienceStrong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPassionate about continuous learning and self-improvementProven desire and ability to build strong internal and external relationshipsStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and develop creative solutionsCompletion of an industry-related designation (e.g., BCIT Insurance & Risk Management, CAIB, CIP, CRM), or actively pursuing completion

A Day in the Life

Deliver exceptional client relationship management by overseeing VIP accounts with a personalized, holistic approach to address client needs comprehensively.Identify client needs, educate clients, and promote insurance products to both prospective and existing clients, focusing on tailored solutions that align with their unique circumstances.Actively build trusted relationships with the Commercial and Employee Benefits Sales teams to capitalize on cross-sell opportunities, strengthening the company’s reputation for sales, service, and collaborative solutions.Provide expert advisory services on risk identification, risk management, risk transfer, insurer selection, coverage design, implementation, renewal review, and negotiation, as well as claims advocacy when required. Collaborate closely with the Commercial Account Executive to deliver integrated solutions.Serve as a technical insurance expert by continually enhancing knowledge of carrier systems, portals, and products, ensuring clients receive informed and innovative recommendations.Offer comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to Habitational, Watercraft, Travel, and Umbrella insurance needs, reinforcing a holistic approach to managing risk.Maintain high levels of client retention by delivering exceptional service, proactive engagement, and value-driven solutions.Manage and collect outstanding accounts receivable within the assigned book of business, ensuring efficient and accurate financial management.Ensure meticulous record-keeping by obtaining required paperwork and maintaining up-to-date client records in the Broker Management System, supporting seamless service deliveryPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
