As an individual contributor, Client Banking Specialists are responsible for the following:

Focused on day-to-day client experienceCommerical Loan Setup, Closing and FundingDepository Account OpeningAnti-Money Laundering (AML)/Know Your Customer (KYC) Review & EvaluationOverdraft Account Review and DecisioningClient Maintenance (Name/Address Change, Tax ID Changes, Officer Updates, HHNR)Fraud Management (Client Notification & Resolution (Check, ACH, Wire)Loan Advance & PaydownSignature Card Updates (Additions/Deletions)Balance & Transaction Inquiry (Depository & Loan Accounts)Execute Money Movements (Manual Wires, Internal Transfers & One-time ACH)Provide Statement Copies (Loan, DDA, Account Analysis)Wire Inquiry & Return/Amendment (including Fed Ref #)Client Authentication - Maintain Strong Risk & Control PrinciplesAd-hoc requests as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 

Preferred formal education: Bachelor’s degreeMinimum 1+ year in client facing role with demonstrated experience in client service. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint) requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize client requestsAccountable

This role operates within a normal office environment

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $65,000 - $70,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
