Job Summary:
The Team Lead oversees the Agency’s Representative Payee program and various administrative duties related to the administration of social security payee's funds. This role involves developing and maintaining policies, training team members, and ensuring compliance with social security requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Representative Payee Program, incorporating both clinical and administrative duties, and up-to-date social security requirements.Educate and train team members agency-wide on program policies and procedures.Implement practices and processes to ensure adherence to the Agency’s Payee policy.Coordinate with social security on behalf of beneficiaries and the Agency.Perform administrative duties for beneficiaries, including:Be aware of the beneficiary's current day-to-day needs (i.e., food, clothing, shelter, medical and personal items).Use payments to meet the beneficiary's needs.Keep separate records for each beneficiary for whom you are payee, for at least 2 years detailing deposits made and funds spent, including receipts.File all annual reports with Social Security and manage any audits performed.File any on-demand reports from Social Security.Work with creditors on Payee's behalf.Monitor spend downs for clients.Act as the primary point of contact for all Payees' questions and concerns.Responsible for check issuance weekly ensuring timely payment.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High School Diploma or GED required.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.2+ years’ experience in administrative/accounting position OR graduated from an accredited school specializing in accounting and businessSupervisory Requirements:

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
