Job SummaryAs a member of the Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels (AAMOW) team, the Client Care Associate will play a vital role in protecting the health and quality of life for the individuals that are served through our program. With the support of more than 250 volunteers, AAMOW serves 400+ individuals in our community each year who range in age from 30-100+ and are homebound due to physical and/or mental health reasons. The person in this role will be responsible for driving a University vehicle to deliver meals to clients, conducting wellness checks, interacting with clients and their caregivers, reporting any concerns to the AAMOW team, and providing administrative support in the AAMOW office. To be successful in this role, candidates should have a passion for working with older adults and individuals with disabilities. AAMOW is seeking candidates who are highly dependable, have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, and can successfully work independently and within a dynamic team.

This is a part-time, 25 hour per week position. The anticipated schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday from 9:15am-2:15pm with occasional Saturdays and holidays.

Background ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
