Client Director, Corporate Legal Solutions, Private Clients  
Location: Guernsey

Schedule: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week

Intro:

The Client Director, Corporate Legal Solutions acts as a joint senior team lead for one of the two Administration Team, alongside another Client Director.  You will work closely with your team to manage a portfolio of private clients covering a variety of trust and corporate structures in accordance with the relevant Client Service Agreements and laws relating to the Guernsey regulatory licence. This position requires good attention to detail and someone who is a technical expert with Trusts and Corporate Structures. 

Some of the things you will be doing:

Develop strategies for the long- term success of the team and wider business, i.e. working toward a 2-3 years plan incorporating new business/expanding existing business and adjusting for new staff skills and qualities required;  Be accessible and approachable to all of your team members, offering guidance and development when needed; Review regularly with the Managers/Assistant Managers to ensure that invoicing fees and controlling debt management for the team are being managed in a proactive and timely manner;  Coordinating Guernsey and Group projects across the CLS team ensuring deadlines are adhered to and successful implementation is achieved. Leading and managing change. Develop and manage a client communication plan ensuring regular and appropriate contact, to include meetings, with all clients. Take the lead role when working with lawyers, accountants, tax advisors and banks on all matters relating to the management of a complex portfolio of private clients;  Provide leadership, management and technical support to the Administration Team as they complete day to day activities in managing and administrating a portfolio of private client cases; Ensure that the delivery of client service in the team meets agreed service standards;  Ensure that all client transactions and documentation is properly considered and advised (where appropriate) from a fiduciary, commercial and legal/tax perspective;  Deliver effective communication within the team, providing regular reporting and feedback, so that agreed strategy and business plans are achieved  Engage fully with performance review process, identifying staff development/mentoring requirements. Provide feedback in a constructive manner throughout the performance year and at Annual Appraisal;               With support from your Managers/Assistant Managers, ensure that all administration procedures are adhered to whilst completing client transactions in a timely and efficient manner;  Proactively keep an up-to-date awareness of current industry issues and have an awareness of how these might impact clients and/or our internal procedures; 

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:

Professional Qualification such as STEP, ACCA, ICSA;
