ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsibilities include providing professional and confidential client service by answering incoming telephone calls and incoming Interactive Teller Machine sessions with courtesy and efficiency while accurately processing a wide variety of financial transactions.  Functions as back-up within banking center location for operational and client facing needs. Also responsible for proactively recognizing additional financial needs and referring them to other business partners as appropriate.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Provide excellent service to internal or external clients by answering incoming calls regarding a wide range of questions and inquiries such as information on Checking/Savings account, Online Banking, New Accounts, processing check orders, stop payments, Bankcard requests, etc. Process interactive teller machine sessions to include deposits, withdraws, check cashing, etc. with speed and accuracy. Process service requests and responds to inquiries regarding all banking services. Act as back-up to the banking center team for operational and client facing needs when necessary. May require traveling between branches if the need arises. Meet or exceed established sales goals by proactively analyzing client’s needs using effective sales and telephone techniques. Quote Core deposit rates in the appropriate manner Refer banking products to the respective department contacts for follow up. Utilize phone system software with speed and accuracy. Utilize interactive teller system software with speed and accuracy.     Provide features and benefits of all products and services to help consumer match and select the product or service that best meets their needs.   Responsible for researching and resolving client requests promptly. Place follow-up telephone calls to clients as necessary. Completes all required documentation associated with call in a timely manner. Use standard screens, scripts, and procedures to handle callers’ needs effectively and when necessary, go beyond these standard methods to resolve client issues. Navigate a computerized system to address and resolve callers’ issues. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with MVB Bank’s BSA/AML Policy and Procedures. Live MVB values

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years banking experience Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities; able to think analytically Excellent client service and telephone skills Well organized and ability to multi-task Maintain the confidentiality of all client transactions and account information Flexible, able to adapt to change Detail oriented and quality focused Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to work flexible or weekend hours on a rotating basis Proficient computer skills relevant to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
