Client Informatics is committed to providing clients with reporting, analytics, and consultation that is relevant and actionable. The Client Informatics organization supports Cigna's strategy by utilizing insights that enable employers to make strategic decisions regarding our products and services.
As a Business Analytics Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the analytic needs of a large National-segment client. Using analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, and/or other similar tools, you will create data driven insights to questions posed by the client directly, from members of the Cigna community or from your own analysis. Your goal is to be a trusted analytic partner by combining your expertise in the business of healthcare with your data skills. This position will allow you to blend creativity, analytical, and technical competencies, relentless problem solving, and business acumen to positively influence the health of a large national client's population, demonstrate Cigna's value proposition, and become a trusted analytic partner.
Core Responsibilities:
Detailed Analysis of Client Data
Prepare client specific cost, trend, and utilization analysis for a national account on a recurring and ad-hoc basis
Combine large volumes of data into meaningful conclusions by utilizing a variety of business intelligence tools and data sources
Conduct analyses across various data domains such as medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility, etc.
Identify opportunities to enhance existing and/or develop new analytic processes
Create analyses that drive overall strategy and demonstrate Cigna's value proposition to help the client make informed decisions
Support selected marquee clients in synthesizing data to answer complex plan, condition, demographic, and statistical related questions
Communication and Partnership with Cross-Functional Team:
Establish direct relationships with members on the account and client’s team
Communicate and present analytical findings/gaps/solutions to account team and/or client
Act as an internal subject matter expert for client’s data and reporting capabilities
Prepare account team for client interactions by ensuring a clear understanding of analysis/data
Assist and support peers with brainstorming and development of analytical insight for clients as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years healthcare, business or government experience in an analytic or consulting capacity
3+ years of experience in the use of relational database concepts and applications such as SAS, SQL or similar tools
Experience with Tableau, PowerBI is a plus
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Experience in creating and presenting analytically based client materials
Communication skills; excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Effectively partner with and influence a cross-functional team
Demonstrate passion for and dedication to understanding the needs of the client
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,000 - 160,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
