The position:
Reporting into the Director of Client Management, as a senior member of the Client Management
Team:
Manage medium and large International Organisations (IO) clients independently
Define and execute client strategy for an assigned subsegment of the portfolio, beyond own
assigned client accounts, focusing on persistency, profitability and growth
Lead and participate in a variety of external and internal projects including RFPs
Main duties / responsibilities:
Set the standard by providing high-end client management for an own portfolio of mainly
large strategic clients
Assist the Director Client Management and work with the Associate Director to define,
execute and own the agreed strategic KPIs for an assigned subsegment of the IOH portfolio,
with a strong focus on persistency, profitability and growth
Follow-up, support and engage other team members to meet and exceed the team
commercial priorities
Represent the Client Management team and champion the needs of Cigna’s client portfolio
in high-profile internal projects, workshops, or calls
Support, coach, and advise other members of the team, and assist less-experienced client
managers during client/broker meetings by providing senior support
Advise the Client Management team proactively on best practices, contributing to and
leading discussions, sharing relevant internal and external developments
Articulate and defend company strategy in the market towards key clients
Being a senior member of the management team, actively contribute to optimise team
engagement and collaboration fostering a growth mindset
Profile/Skills
Extensive experience in insurance or relationship management in Employee Benefits,
Financial Services or Consulting, preferably in an international context (ideally with IOs)
Preferably 5 years experience within the Cigna Client Management team with a successful
track record of managing top segment clients
Internal Subject Matter Expert go-to person for the wider Client Management team, and
externally, on certain elements of Cigna’s value proposition, or specific aspect of the
markets we operate in
Able to work across different markets and maintain a solid internal network throughout the
different Cigna businesses
Demonstrated business acumen and organisational agility, adopting a proactive, resilient
and constructive attitude to tackle organisational challenges and to take a lead in solving for
client and company needs by liaising and coordinating with internal stakeholders
An influential and leading individual within the team who helps elevate team performance
through knowledge, competencies and leadership skills
Able to think outside individual portfolio requirements and develop a book of holistic,
strategic business perspective
