Within Great Britain, we are the market-leading research provider within FMCG; with an enviable client list, from multinational to niche local suppliers and leading retailers in the FMCG industry. We are looking for a confident Client Manager within our Chilled Convenience, Frozen & Bakery team. Providing the opportunity to work across a variety of branded and supermarket own brand suppliers, with many household names, such as Princes, Birds Eye, McCain, Dr Oetker, Nando’s and many more.

You will be joining an upbeat, fun, dynamic and progressive team who have a track record of success. We are one of the largest teams in the business and have an excellent history of providing development opportunities.

Key outcomes

Insight

Be the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients and own all client requests and project briefs.

Having utilised the wealth of data that we have available and combining that with a knowledge of the GB grocery market and your clients, a key part of the role will be building presentations that provide a clear and concise story with recommendations to your client.

Excellent insight provision is central to the role and the successful candidate will act as an extension to their clients’ business with many different touch points from category to marketing; informing category visions, listing arguments, new product development as well as marketing strategies.

Client Relationships

Expand and develop existing client networks through building of great relationships with key client contacts.

Use these relationships and touchpoints to understand your clients’ challenges and wider goals, and partner with them to provide answers to their key business questions; ultimately adding value to their business.

Commercial

Work with the Account Director to create and drive forward account plans for your portfolio of clients.

Spot further opportunities for us to add value to our clients business and increase our exposure and presence with our clients.

Ensure that your clients are maximising the insight capabilities from their contract and that Kantar are a valuable partner to their business; with responsibility for ensuring clients renew their contracts.

Team

Work closely with the more junior members of your team to coach them in their development, acting as a role model and feeding back when appropriate.

Capabilities and experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

History of working within either the FMCG grocery industry or in the market research industry.

Confidence in extracting and interpreting analysis and inspiring clients through your insights.

Experience of either account management roles or senior stakeholder management.

Highly professional demeanour with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop your contact base and build positive relationships with your client contacts.

Experience in hitting growth targets.

Genuine passion and curiosity about Grocery and how people shop the way they do.

The ability to closely manage your own workload and balance shifting priorities.

Strong verbal and visual presentation skills with the ability to put together insightful and impactful presentations, as well as a high standard of written communication.
