The anticipated salary range for this role is between $63,000.00 and $75,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role DescriptionProvides administrative support to Relationship Managers, maintains customer information, conducts KYC processes, coordinates loan and deposit processes for JDAD customers and collaborates with other SMBC departments to complete customer account related tasks.
Role Objectives Support the end-to-end KYC process; collate and review client documentation, ensure that information provided is in good order and perform KYC due diligence screening on assigned clients. Provide a high level of service to JDAD customers and maintain customer information in various databases. Assist customers in opening accounts and CMS and deposit business inquiries. Provide administrative support for JDAD Managements and Relationship Managers. Perform scheduled activities using WIP, Ticklers, and Ad Hoc Reports to process daily work in a timely, accurate and proactive manner. Provide support to the LA Market Trader for FX transactions. Perform accurate record keeping of all transactions according to SMBC policy. Provide information necessary to prepare credit applications and memos. Prepare CMS and forex documents, brochures and proposals. Perform research, analysis and risk assessment of new and existing account information based on established processes and policies. Provide support to onboarding processes, ensuring that all tasks and data required are complete and in line with AML /BSA policy. Be responsible for data entry into core system(s). Provide support to team and department projects, as required. Qualifications and Skills Work Experience: 2 to 5 years of specialized experience in Financial Services Experience as a Deposit Relationship Manager with Budget Management Responsibilities preferred. Business fluency in Japanese and English language skills are required. MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Thorough knowledge and understanding of SMBC KYC and compliance procedures. Strong customer service skills. Problem solving ability to provide effective solutions to internal and external clients. Utilize cross cultural skills to liaise Japanese customers and Non-Japanese Bank staff to ensure seamless customer service. Strong sense of teamwork and responsibility. Intermediate knowledge of corporate banking front, middle and back office functions. Understanding of all aspects of deal/loan administration functions and associated tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Well organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Excellent attention to detail.
