What You'll Do As a Client Onboarding Manager in our Defined Benefit (DB) area, you’ll lead and coordinate all aspects of multi-process onboarding for our medium to large sized clients, while maintaining overall responsibility for onboarding. Working independently, act as a consultant and proactively advise clients and prospects as they navigate through the acquisition/implementation phase of onboarding. Establish and enhance client/intermediary relationships through effective communication and delivery of expectations. May provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced team members along with managing and/or participating in special projects Your day will be filled with: Working independently, act as a consultant and actively advise clients and prospects as they navigate through the acquisition/implementation phase of onboarding. Establishing and improve client/intermediary relationships through effective communication and delivery of expectations to ensure growth in retirement savings and profitability for all partners. Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the client's data and set up to ensure ongoing success. Mentoring and coaching team members along with managing and/or participating in special projects. Utilizing project management methodology, lead, manage and serve as the main point of contact for client interaction throughout the onboarding process. Implement a customized onboarding project plan, executing to successful completion. Take the lead in implementation meetings to proactively address onboarding strategies and promote better understanding and accurate expectations. Communicate effectively with clients, as well as internal and external business partners, providing timely status reports through conference calls or timeline/project plan updates and maintaining overall responsibility for onboarding. Follow internal procedures to properly document work. Develop relationships and partner with all areas of RIS to orchestrate successful onboarding. Use innovative and creative problem-solving techniques and networking skills to resolve complex issues in an aggressive timeframe. Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions, both internally and externally. Appropriately handle onboardings crossing multiple product lines and transition areas, such as Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, ESOP, Nonqualified, Annuities, etc. Contribute to organizational learning by leading, mentoring, and coaching less experienced team members for effective onboarding management. Effectively manage special projects, which may include overseeing the development and marketing of new or improved administrative services, new business systems, new workflows, quality control programs, etc. Develop and share best practices and take action to facilitate workflow improvements. Who You Are Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, 4 plus years retirement experience Must possess leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality Requires strong analytical, innovative, and creative thinking, along with advanced problem-solving skills Excellent relationship building and communication skills, including verbal, written, phone, and presentation skills Must have initiative and organizational skills to work efficiently and independently to meet aggressive deadlines on multiple projects Must be detail-oriented with focus on accuracy Knowledge of all aspects of pension, including plan design, products, services, administrative systems, investments, laws and regulations required Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $51000 - $98400 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
