Job Summary:
Under limited direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to function as the primary business development advocate for Reams Asset Management, including acting as a key point of contact for institutional and intermediary clients, monitoring portfolio performance and operational activities while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Facilitating new business development, both domestically and internationally, by helping to establish new relationships as well as identifying cross-selling opportunities is critically important. Works independently or as a team on assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed decisions or recommendations. Extensive contact is required with internal and external clients, as well as senior management, to identify, research, and resolve complex issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Play central role in developing and executing sales strategy for boutique (working alongside distribution leadership), including identifying and executing cross-selling opportunities as well as directly covering a subset of clients
• Engage the portfolio management teams within the sales planning process and provide regular business updates
• Serve as a contact for clients, researching and answering requests and questions
• Participate in team efforts to cultivate prospective clients through relationships across distribution channels, referrals and other decision makers
• Monitor client portfolio performance for under- or out-performance and/or dispersion
• Develop story lines for marketing and presentations
• Provide updates and value add materials to the various sales channels
• Travel extensively with Raymond James Investment Management distribution teams, focusing on new business development as well as deepening client relationships
• Participate in initiatives within the department related to strategy, direction and service offerings
• Assist in marketing products to retail and institutional constituencies as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets

• Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions

Education/Previous Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance or related field and a minimum ten (10) years of experience in the financial services industry. MBA preferred.

• Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources
Licenses/Certifications:
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
