Client Portfolio Manager- RJIM

Job Summary
Under limited direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to function as the primary business development advocate for ClariVest Asset Management. This will entail serving as a liaison between ClariVest and various departments at RJIM, acting as a subject-matter expert on their products, investment process, market views, and portfolio positioning, serving all applicable constituents downstream in this regard. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed decisions or recommendations. Extensive contact is required with internal and external clients, as well as senior management, to identify, research, and resolve issues and provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. Ideally this position will be based in San Diego, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Acts as a primary external contact for all levels (low to premier tier) of clients, researching and answering requests and questions
• Proactively works across distribution channels and independently to develop new business opportunities
• Develops narratives product positioning bullet points for marketing and/or sales
• Assists in the creation of presentations, reports, and databases as needed
• Coordinates the involvement of the investment team, as needed, to meeting requests
• Participates in broad initiatives related to overall strategy, product positioning, and marketing campaigns
• Assists client service with reporting
• Maintains familiarity with peers in each product category, contrasting different investment approaches, portfolio biases, and historical return patterns
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices used in the securities industry
• Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of relationship management
• Financial markets and products, specifically fixed income
• Fundamental understanding of return attribution analysis

Skill in
• Interpreting and applying policies and procedures
• Preparing management reports
• Identifying trends and implementing appropriate corrective action
• Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

Ability to
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels including senior management
• Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions
• Balance conflicting resource and priority demands
• Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Education/Previous Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the financial services industry
• OR
• Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources

Licenses/Certifications
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferable or ability to obtain within three years of hire
• Series 7 license (current or ability to obtain within three months of hire)

Travel
Travel Required:
• Domestic travel required, up to 50% of the time
