We are seeking a talented Client Executive to join our Multinational team at Marsh Canada. This role will be based in Montreal. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. This role is responsible to service large and complex accounts across various industries or specialties, with specific focus on multinational accounts.
You will be responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex Multinational accounts. The Client Executive "delivers the firm" by aligning client strategies and needs to MMC's capabilities and resources. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying the mix of MMC products and services the client holds. The Client Executive is ultimately accountable for all solutions and resource delivery to the client as well as the management and growth of the client P&L, individually and in the aggregate across a book of business.
We will count on you to:
Responsible for maintaining and expanding a large book of business containing complex and priority accounts across various industries or specialties.
Manage and develop client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor
Lead/support the sales strategy for managed accounts leveraging an in-depth understanding of client needs, market trends and internal product or service offerings.
Review client/prospect exposure loss experience and current coverage, and analyze the risk to determine the product/service requirements
Contribute to placement strategy
Negotiate complex insurance programs with underwriters when required
Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients
Communicate client needs and binding instructions to insurers.
Implement and maintain a quality service plan, including ensuring the accuracy of binders, policies, and other relevant documents
Advise clients on coverage issues
Conduct stewardship meetings with client participation
Manage timely billing/collection for each client
Develop a working relationship with all functions within the company to improve client service and increase cross-selling opportunities
Engage the appropriate industry group and Marsh resources to offer best in-front resources for each client/prospect
Participate in professional development activities/courses
Comply with Marsh Multinational Standards and Professional Standards to ensure quality service to all clients
What you need to have:
Holds appropriate broker’s license(s) for the Province of Quebec, as a minimum; non-resident licensing in all other Canadian territories and provinces is an asset.
5+ years’ experience in commercial insurance
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Possess a solid understanding of property/casualty insurance principles and risk management concepts
Demonstrated ability to independently service medium- to larger-end (somewhat complex) accounts
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software, as well as working knowledge of presentation software
