Client Relationship Manager (MAU) Legal and/or Accounting qualifications


A dynamic and innovative Trust & Corporate Services provider based in Mauritius is looking to hire a Client Relationship Manager.
  The role forms part of the senior management team that is collectively responsible for the delivery of trust and corporate services to a client base of private clients and a number of corporate clients (trading companies and investment holding businesses). The client base is located South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
  The candidate will oversee administration teams, ensuring that the highest level of service is delivered and client relationships are maintained and developed whilst also ensuring that adherence with operational compliance procedures is maintained. They will also be the primary point of contact with a number of specific, key clients.
  The successful candidate will serve as a Director on client boards and will be a signatory on client banking.
  Technical know-how, strong client relationship skills and ability to integrate fully with an existing team, are key requirements.

Role and Responsibilities Act as client director on client companies, trusts, foundations, partnerships and investment funds, Provide central management and control in the jurisdiction of incorporation on client companies, trusts, foundations, partnerships and investment funds, Attend regular client board, trustee, council and partnership meetings, in person or by conference call, as frequently as required, Ensure strategic, commercial and policy decisions on client structures are recorded and filed in the minute book, Review proposed changes to statutory documentation, including the company’s memorandum and articles of association and statutory registers, For investment funds, reviewing offering documents, Authorise payments, Review and approve client agreements and contracts with third parties, Review and approve client annual financial statements, Facilitate opening of client bank accounts, Assist with drafting of client governance and compliance policies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related field of study preferably in the legal or accounting fields. 10 years of working experience with proven track record of achievements within a private client, private banking, wealth management or Trust and Corporate Services environment, out of which at least last 3-5 years should be of a managerial/senior position.
  Required Skills Significant experience in a senior management or executive level position, Strong marketing thinking and understanding of the communication disciplines, Exemplary client service skills with the ability to maintain and extend client relationships, Excellent time management, numeracy skills and attention to detail, Well-developed inter-personal skills and experience in interacting with senior stakeholders, Fluent, clear and articulate in verbal communication with the ability to convey interest and enthusiasm when presenting, Assertive and able to take charge of a situation when appropriate with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others, Proven leadership experience managing teams and coaching and mentoring individuals. If you are applying from South Africa you would need to be satisfied with relocation to an island.
 
Salary range USD4-5k + relocation allowance to cover cost of flights for the person/family, application for work permit, payment for car deposit and payment for house rental deposit (in total about USD5k – 7K).
 
Permits run for 3 years renewable every 3 years (with option to have a 10 year permit after the initial 3 years). This is a permanent position.
 
Preference for single or married couple. Please note that education costs for children are high on the island.
