VCA Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kalamazoo is a 24/7/365 emergency, critical care and specialty practice, located in Portage, MI. We are seeking an Experienced Client Service Representative to join our team Full-time.

Client Service Representative Duties:
Customer service functions such greeting clients and handling multi-line telephonesScheduling and confirming appointmentsPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clientsPresenting and explaining fees, including processing paymentsRecommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptionsAnswering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical related pet careManaging medical records, charts, reports and correspondencePotential Schedule: Day, Evening, and Weekend shifts available
Compensation: $15 – 20 / hr based on skill set and experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year of proven past experience helping customersHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalentExcellent listening and communication skillsCompassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactionsProven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of actionThe ability to integrate new information into problem-solvingWillingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and some holidaysThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal wasteVCA Total Reward Benefits Package:
