The Client Service Representative I coordinates the daily activities of the outpatient rehabilitation clinic by implementing office work flow and managing communication. The individual will be responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, appointment scheduling and reminder calls, and patient concerns. The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and be able to put the patients at ease.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greets all patients, family members, and fellow staff courteously and professionally.
• Pre-registers and registers new initial evaluations by taking patient information of chief complaint, demographics, and insurance information.
• Collects copayments in a timely manner.
• Schedules appointments, answers incoming calls, and retrieves voicemails.
• Performs all department clerical functions including but not limited to answering phone calls, faxing, filing, copying, scanning, as well as discharge functions.
• Manages office supplies and ensures stock is current, appropriate, and par levels maintained.
• Maintains a clean and secure work area to protect patient privacy
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• High School diploma or Equivalent
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
Preferred:
• Medical Assistant preferred.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory or specialty practice setting strongly preferred.
• Computer skills strongly preferred.
• Bi-Lingual speaking, Spanish and English preferred.
