Client Services Director - Transportation Projects

Johnson Service Group (JSG) has an opening for a Client Services Director - Transportation Projects to help expand a public agency clients with a focus on state highways, structures, and design-build projects. This position can be located in Tustin, Ontario, Los Angeles or Santa Clarita, CA offices.  
Salary range $150,000 - $200,000.

Client Team Leader Responsibilities: Responsible for the full lifecycle relationship with the agency and for selling all services, regardless of internal or business unit structure. Develops significant new business, leads client teams and participates in other client teams, leads cross-business unit selling, assesses client technology trends, and performs client sales forecasting. Manages the overall client experience and is responsible for building, maintaining, and deepening the client relationships Will serve as principal-in-charge or project manager when appropriate. Monitors project manager performance on their client’s projects. Conducts client experience surveys (if not the PM on the project). May review cost proposals. Additionally responsible for coaching project managers on client expectations and providing feedback on project manager and delivery team performance, including removing underperforming project managers or staff. Client Team Leaders determine pursuit staffing and pursuit and project teaming partners, and make go/ no-go decisions. Responsible for client profitability, favorable contract terms, revenue forecasting, and the client sales result.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities: Ensure excellence in project execution for on-time, on-budget deliverables of quality that meet or exceed the industry’s standard of care Working with the Regional Transportation Group and Delivery Leaders to ensure office resources are available to complete existing project work as well as work committed to in proposals Provide design leadership and guidance to staff. Review engineering documents and deliverables for compliance with contractual and professional requirements Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting (set up, budgeting, etc.), contracting, and quality requirements  
Basis Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Urban and Regional Planning Licensed Professional Engineer in California or AICP certified 10+ years in transportation design or planning with a focus on roadway, highway, transit, or bridge projects Proven track record of working with and delivering public agency/DOT projects
