We are seeking a dedicated veterinary assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services to our local community. Duties: Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures Monitor patients throughout anesthesia and recovery Collect appropriate lab samples via blood draw or urinary collection Place IV catheters Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts Administer medications under veterinary supervision Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans Maintain accurate medical records and surgical logs Requirements: Certification as a veterinary technician preferred Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior Understanding of veterinary medical terminology Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Experience with x-ray imaging This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic veterinary environment where you can utilize your skills to provide exceptional care to animals.
