**While this position will be classified as remote, the candidate selected will be required to work onsite at our Kansas City, MO office up to 2 times per week**
The Client Services Specialist will assist the Managing Director with administrative support in order to properly deliver the day-to-day services required to maintain current ICS clients and develop new business. As part of this support, this individual will be required to provide some basic financial bookkeeping responsibilities within the Risk Strategies Intercollegiate Sports Division. While many of the assigned tasks will not require a client-facing capacity, there will be times client interaction will be necessary. Duties and responsibilities will vary based on the structure devised by the Managing Director.
This position may have access to sensitive information such as PII and/or PHI. As such, all Risk Strategies Education Practice employees sign and adhere to RSEP’s Information Security Handbook covering information security policies and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate client dataDevelop and send Welcome Packets to new and current clients when coverage is bound.Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Generate and send invoices, applying funds to appropriate accounts and resolving discrepancies.Track and ensure all W-9 forms are up to date for brokers, clients, and partner companies.Monitor and follow up on unpaid invoices and provide updates to the ICS Division.Maintain accurate financial data records, ensuring proper categorization and reconciliation.Answers email, telephone calls, and/or written correspondence in a timely manner, documents all client interaction and updates client service logs.Provides additional support to other Production Teams and Divisions as needed.Maintains client files accurately and consistently, responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication in accordance with company workflow, procedures and best practices. Maintains a high degree of accuracy in document management systems.Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous customer service and data entry experience preferred.Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.Proficiency with accounting software (experience with AMS 360 and Applied Epic highly desired).Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong written and oral communication skills.Problem-solving skills for addressing discrepancies and improving processes.Client service orientation with a focus on problem-solving.Analytical skills for financial reporting and data management.Risk Strategies is the 9th largest privately held US brokerage firm offering comprehensive risk management advice, insurance and reinsurance placement for property & casualty, employee benefits, private client services, as well as consulting services and financial & wealth solutions.
