As a Client Tax Associate I within the Client Tax Documentation (CTDO) team, you will be part of a team that processes United States (U.S.) Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax forms and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Common Reporting Standards self-certifications for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Commercial Bank (CB), and Consumer and Community Bank (CCB). You will create and manage client tax profiles and reference data, which are essential for account-level withholding tax and regulatory reporting. As part of a hybrid operational team, you will consistently deliver operational excellence by streamlining processes through intelligent automation and reorganization, and implementing strategic technology to enhance quality, speed, and client satisfaction. You will be involved in a global function with Tax Documentation teams located in Delaware, San Antonio, Bangalore, and Mumbai. You will work closely with Client On-Boarding, Middle Offices, Credit, Legal, and Tax Compliance teams to ensure accurate data capture within the JP Morgan infrastructure, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to a global function and collaborate with diverse teams to drive efficiency and accuracy in tax documentation processes.
Job responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement automated solutions to improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness using AI solutions such as Alteryx, Tableau and UIPath workflows Create, improve, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics Analyze, review, and validate moderate to complex tax data forms (W9, W8-BEN, W8-BEN-E, W8-IMY, W8-EXP, W8-ECI, CRS & CRA) Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that can drive operational improvements and compliance Implement data quality controls and perform regular audits to maintain high standards of data quality Develop and keep current the readiness documentation to drive the Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform within CTDO. This includes overseeing requirements for CIB, CB and CCB Accurately analyze data for customer’s tax profiles on various client systems including account level systems Learn and use multiple, complex databases and systems in a relatively short timeframe Verify that modifications in data are fed to various systems Perform User Acceptance Testing in systems as needed Make independent ‘client-centric’ and judgment decisionsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3+ years of experience in the consumer financial services industry Skilled in automation tools such as Alteryx, UIPath and Tableau Self-starter with out-of-the box problem solving skills Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on track Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment High-level of independent ‘client-centric’ and judgment decisions making skills Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) Excellent written, and verbal communication as well as organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel and stakeholders regionally and globally Ability to perform tasks under demanding targets and effectively manage changes in plans Attention to detail with the ability to work independentlyPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Knowledge of Investment Bank, Commercial Bank or Consumer & Community Bank businesses is preferred Knowledge of U.S. and non-U.S. Regulations (including Tax) a plus
