The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida is actively recruiting to fill a position for a radiologist at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor. This position is a full-time, non-tenure track position with primary assignments at UF-Health Shands, Gainesville, Florida. This position will provide coverage in Musculoskeletal Radiology. Responsibilities include patient care, teaching housestaff and medical students, although scholarly activity is supported. Candidates should be proficient with all musculoskeletal imaging modalities and procedures.
UF Health-Shands is a Level I Trauma and Tertiary referral center with full subspecialty representation. Musculoskeletal radiologists work primarily at a free-standing outpatient center with busy Orthopaedic Oncology, Sports Medicine, Upper Extremity, and Joint Reconstruction practices and frequent face-to-face interaction with the Orthopaedic faculty.
Gainesville, with a metropolitan population of 280,000, is home to one of the nation’s best public universities and most successful Division I sports programs, has excellent public and private schools, a growing high-tech industry, lies less than 1 ½ hours from both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, 2 hours from Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville, hosts numerous art and music festivals, and has great outdoor recreation year round.
Final candidate will be required to provide an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible. Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which can be found at http://www.naces.org/.
Expected Salary:Negotiable
Minimum Requirements:Minimum requirements include an M.D. or D.O. degree as well as completion of a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship. Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology (or Board Eligible) and must obtain a Medical license in the State of Florida prior to employment
