Responsible for the day-to-day applications and support of RIS (Radiant) and PACS equipment including modality workflow, archiving, quality assurance of data and other related activities. This also includes ongoing oversight and education to the Medical Imaging staff, leadership and Radiologists. Works closely with PACS Administrator, RIS Administrator, Department Managers and supervisors to ensure proper operation of DICOM digital image data transfer into the PACS and RIS validation and exceptions handling.


Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Associate’s degree in a related field and four (4) or more years of related experience in radiology operations in an acute hospital setting. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree and four (4) or more years of related experience in radiology operations and/or information systems applications.


LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED: American Registry in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), ARRT(MRI) and/or ARRT(CT). Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification.
