Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Technician 2 to join our Float Pool team on the day shift. The Clinical Technician 2 will play a crucial role in supporting patient care across various units within the hospital. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding healthcare setting while contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift
Schedule: Full Time - Days Vary
Training: Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

The Clinical Technician 2 Float provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Maintains competencies and seek opportunities to develop professionally. Communicates effectively and work cooperatively with others Serves as a unit preceptor and superuser for all new Clinical Technicians.

Job Responsibilities
 

Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records. Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally. Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals. Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge. May perform additional duties as assigned.

 Requirements

Certification - Basic Life Support within 3 Months Required Experience - 1 year acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school Education - High School diploma or equivalent
