Job Description
The RN will assist the provider throughout the clinic with duties including preparing patients for scheduled procedures, performing patient assessments, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will also be responsible for ensuring the stock of supplies, compliance with policies, and scheduling patient appointments.
ResponsibilitiesPrepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment.Accurately records history and performs basic triage procedures per policy.Retrieves initial basic condition of patients, creates nursing history, and reports to the appropriate practitioner.Assists providers with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records.Maintains all required reports, records, statistics, etc.Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.Inspects area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur.Schedules all outside patient appointments per physician order and relays accurately to patients.Takes calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relays appropriate information to the practitioner in a timely manner.Assures test results are received and relayed to the patient in a timely manner.Completes medical orientation checklist.Initiates appropriate patient care.Essential SkillsRN licenseExperience with EMR systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Cerner EMR is a bonusAbility to read and interpret medication use labels in ambulatory settingsProficiency in simple conversions and calculations of commonly used equivalents in ambulatory settingsKnowledge of safe medication administration procedures as per CDC guidelinesAbility to perform simple calculations for the amount of medicine to be administered from an ordered dose with varied concentrationsWork Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.50
