Clinic Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist): Relief
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** **Description:** Schedule | Hours: + Relief |Variable hours + Family medicine business hours are Mon-Fri 7:30a-5:30p. + Urgent Care business hours are Mon-Fri 8a-8p; Sat 8a-2p. Position Summary: + Operates various radiographic equipment, performing radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. Develops x-rays, obtains reports, prepares x-rays for review by physician on site, and sends films to Mercy Radiology for reading. Assists with other clinical functions as needed. What the Radiologic Technologist will do: + Instruct patient as needed during procedure. + Position patients to obtain the proper views for each examination. + Perform darkroom procedures and lab. + Evaluate examinations for technical quality and proper technique. + Maintain office procedures and film file functions as necessary. + Greet patient, explain procedures, and perform initial assessment by obtaining medical history, recording vital signs, drawing blood, & performing specified procedures + Assist provider with examination and treatment. Prepare the patient, assemble and handle necessary supplies, and care for specimens. + Prepare necessary equipment and instruments to assist provider during examination. + Initiate the ordering of necessary medical supplies to maintain adequate inventory. + Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits. + Maintain complete and accurate patient record, completing reports by recording pertinent patient information. + Assist office staff with clerical duties including patient check-in and checkout, answer telephones and daily patient call-backs.
