Palmer College of Chiropractic is looking for a Clinic RT!
FUNCTION
The Clinic Radiologic Technologist (RT) is responsible for performing quality x-ray examinations, education of the chiropractic student in in x-ray positioning and patient management during radiographic examinations, general radiography and department duties.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Perform radiographic examinations.
+ Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
+ Train and assess students in patient radiographic examinations.
+ Monitoring students and patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures.
+ Daily evaluation of equipment function.
+ Performing radiology administrative tasks.
+ Disseminate radiology reports.
+ Screening phone calls, processing mail, scheduling appointments, maintaining filing systems, ordering, and maintaining office supplies, and other related duties.
+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety and health regulations, maintenance of safe laboratory environment.
+ Maintain compliance with college policies, procedures, and expectations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
+ Training and experience in radiologic technology.
+ Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.
+ Ability to communicate effectively.
+ Ability to utilize necessary equipment.
+ Ability to resolve routine problems.
+ Ability to work effectively with others in an academic environment.
+ Ability to work various hours as job requires.
+ A license to practice radiography.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion.
+ Good mathematical abilities and technical skills.
+ Good computer and software management skills.
+ Good organizational, time management, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
+ The ability to lift heavy weights without assistance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ Requires a high school diploma with associate or bachelor’s degree in radiology American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
+ Requires at least one year of work-related experience.
+ Must be licensed by the Iowa Department of Health.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
+ Perform sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature-controlled office setting.
+ Radiology environment with x-ray equipment.
+ Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday
