Performs nuclear and nonnuclear cardiac stress tests.
Primary (Essential Duties\:
Assists with scheduling outpatient treadmill stress tests.Explains purpose and procedure of stress test to patient.Prepares patient for testing which includes set up of modified 12 lead EKG and continuous monitoring throughout entirety of test with rhythm identification and interpretation.Maintain/clean stress test machines and equipment.Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise with stress testing equipment.Verify all necessary supplies are available, stocked, and reviews for expiration dates regularly.Performs routine and emergency EKG acquisition, management of MUSE platform. Downloads, collates, prepares for physician interpretation; transcribes physician interpretations into database system, and processes confirmed reports. Demonstrates advanced understanding of EKG configuration and rhythm recognition.Places IV for nuclear testing needs.Oversees stress test technician’s patient hookup and monitoring.Will be responsible to take call after clinic hours and weekends for testing as needed.EKG Rhythm class will be completed upon 3 months of hire date.Scion Health considers a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous, and professional attitude to be an essential function of every position. Current licensed in the state of Idaho, or licensure eligible
BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center
ACLS - within 3-months of hire (to be assigned by the Learning Center)
PALS - within 3-months of hire (to be assigned by the Learning Center)
Preferred\:
Previous experience as a nurse in cardiac centerBasic computer skillsAdvanced knowledge of cardiac rhythms.Required\:
