Overview

As our Clinic RN at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, you will utilize the nursing process to identify patient needs and priorities of care through assessment, planning, and delegation of care based on patient needs, therapeutic interventions, and evaluation of the patient’s response in a defined outpatient clinic setting.  Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization.  This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.

Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with provider to provide exceptional care, by assisting with patient exams and multiple clinic procedures, implement treatments, and evaluate patient outcomesPerform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivering systems, perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings, prepare sterile field for suturing, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomyProvides patient and family educationAssists with patient transports and transfersAnswer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, and transcribe provider’s ordersRecords all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate formsMaintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the clinicPractices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policiesUtilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and proceduresAssists in all areas of the clinic
Qualifications

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Required Licensure and Certifications

Registration by the State of North Dakota Board of Nursing Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)

Required Minimum Experience

Clinic RN experience not required but is preferred.
