Overview

Hello humankindness Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrows healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. Responsibilities

Coordinates, supervises and implements patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. Practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description. Input, extract, and evaluate data for meaningful use and patient centered medical home. Responsible for direct patient care, to include rooming, obtaining vitals, patient assessment & education, and discharge planning.

Acts as a resource and a role model.Complies with HIPAA standards.Seeks opportunities to increase skills and/or knowledge.Participates in department's productivity measures.Patient flow: Able to effectively coordinate physician time, patient schedule, and clinical duties of care team. Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with day to day activities.Adheres to rooming/patient flow guidelines of department.Displays understanding and compliance with organizational standards surrounding assessment/reassessment, biophysical & psychosocial barriers.Responsible for referral/authorization management within the assigned care team.Procedure/Treatments: Accurately assesses patient and completes all documentation necessary for patient preparation for procedure/surgery.Procedure/Treatments: Understands and can demonstrate to others the use of all medical equipment, which could include catheter insertion, EKG, procedure prep, surgical & procedure set-up, point-of-care testing, spirometry, NST.Procedures/Treatments: Uses correct procedural technique and follows strict infection control guidelines when required.Develops and promotes appropriate education regarding healthcare to patient/family.
Qualifications

MINIMUM

Completion of RN program.
Greater than two years of RN experience.

AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State 

American Heart Association BLS 

Communication, Team building, Clinical competency pursuant to department requirements

PREFERRED

BSN

Greater than two years of outpatient/ambulatory facility experience

Bi-lingual

Leadership, Team leader or coordinator.
