Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Clinic Specialty Pharmacist (Oncology) to join our team at 1700 Nicholasville Road, Suite 1100, Lexington, KY!

Serves as a primary point of contact with patients related to specialty medication needs.

Enrolls specialty pharmacy patients into medication management programs by assisting with recruitment of patients in clinic.

Provides initial clinical medication counseling and regular patient reassessments via in person, telephonic, or video encounters to ensure appropriateness of specialty therapy and ongoing therapy management.

Performs medication therapy management.

Refers appropriate patients to financial counseling for copay assistance through manufacturer or charity programs.

Communicates with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate exemplary service for new and existing Baptist Health specialty pharmacy patients.

Provides limited/indirect supervision for Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinators.

Participates in ongoing trainings related to role, including but not limited to disease state overviews, clinical guidelines, pharmacology, REMS programs, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.

Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license required.

Experience in ambulatory clinical pharmacy practice preferred.

Specialty disease state experience preferred.

1-3 years related work experience or completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy residency program preferred.
